Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Rimantas Sederevicius, operating GetPaidGently from Switzerland (see Imprint). Questions or requests can be sent to support@getpaidgently.com.

Wherever in the world you are based, we apply the same data-protection standard - the EU GDPR and the Swiss FADP - to everyone's personal data.

If you're a GetPaidGently account holder

We collect and store:

  • Your name, email address, and password (hashed).
  • Your company name, if you provide one.
  • Billing details handled by Stripe - we never see or store your card number; we only keep the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers needed to run your subscription.
  • The invoices and client details you enter (client name, email, amount, due date), your reminder settings, and a log of reminders sent.

Legal basis: performance of the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for billing records, compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

If you're the client of a GetPaidGently user

If someone using GetPaidGently has added you as a client on an invoice, we process your name, email address, and the invoice details (amount, due date, invoice number) in order to send you payment reminders on their behalf. You did not sign up for GetPaidGently and we do not use your data for anything beyond this purpose.

Legal basis: the legitimate interest of the freelancer or business in collecting a genuine debt owed to them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), which we process as their data processor.

Every reminder email includes a link to tell us you weren't expecting it. Clicking it immediately stops reminders for that invoice and flags the account for review. You can also email support@getpaidgently.com directly to have your data removed.

Who else processes this data

We rely on a small number of specialist providers, each acting as a processor on our behalf:

  • Supabase - database hosting and account authentication.
  • Stripe - subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Resend - delivery of reminder and account emails.
  • Vercel - application hosting and scheduled jobs.
  • Zoho Mail - our support inbox.
  • Google - advertising and conversion measurement, only where you have consented to advertising cookies (see Cookies below).

These providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA (for example, in the United States); where they do, they rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep data

We keep account and invoice data for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward to meet accounting obligations and resolve disputes. To minimize the personal data we hold, we automatically anonymize your clients' contact details (their name and email) on invoices that have been paid for more than 24 months, keeping only the financial record (amount, dates, invoice number). You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@getpaidgently.com.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@getpaidgently.com to exercise any of these rights.

Cookies

We always use the essential session cookie required to keep you signed in. This does not require consent.

We also use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how effective our advertising is (for example, whether visitors who arrive from an ad go on to create an account). This sets advertising cookies and shares limited data with Google only after you agree via the consent banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, these cookies are not set. You can change your mind by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Changes

We'll update this page if how we handle data changes, and update the date at the top accordingly.
